I am writing to formally address Xiaomi’s continued and unacceptable violation of the GNU General Public License v2 (GPLv2) regarding the Redmi Pad 2 Pro / POCO Pad M1 (codename: flute).
It has been nearly a full year since the device's release in late 2025, yet the required Linux kernel source code remains unpublished. This extraordinary delay completely disregards Xiaomi’s own 3-month release policy and, more importantly, constitutes a direct breach of your legal obligations under international copyright law. The fact that contemporaneous devices (such as codename guitar and erhu) have already received their source drops demonstrates that this omission is entirely avoidable.
Compliance with the GPLv2 is not optional. Please be advised that if the complete and compliant kernel source for flute is not published immediately, I will be forced to escalate this ongoing infringement to the Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC) and the relevant Linux kernel copyright holders for formal enforcement action.
We strongly prefer to see this resolved amicably rather than through external legal intervention. We expect the immediate release of the repository to remedy this violation.
