Well, this is a bit embarrassing; now that I inspect this again it wasn't as inaccurate as I thought. I must have been looking at altered code :/ Nevertheless, I think the ratio and scale of the diagonal stripes could probably be equalized a bit. The existing houndstooth pattern is not quite right, some of the minor stripes encroach to far. I've also bumped up the scale, it tends to work better imho.
