Summary
When exporting a WordPress Post to a Kit Broadcast, uses the Post's excerpt (if one was written) as the Broadcast's preview text. Previously the preview text was left empty, so email clients showed the first lines of the email instead.
Adds the
convertkit_broadcasts_exporter_preview_textfilter, so the preview text can be defined from e.g. an SEO plugin's meta description.(Creator request)
Testing
BroadcastsExportTest: confirms the excerpt is used as the preview text, no preview text is sent when there's no excerpt, and the filter defines the preview text. The Kit API request is mocked.Checklist
