Thanks for reporting this. You are correct. DataFog 4.8.0 declares Python >=3.10,<3.14, so pip rejects Python 3.14 even though the core package runs successfully there.
We reproduced the installation restriction and validated the core SDK and CLI on Python 3.14.5. The release-gate test selection completed with 597 passed, 12 skipped, and 19 expected failures. We also confirmed a clean wheel install and scan/redaction smoke test on Python 3.14.
Draft PR #172 removes the package-wide upper bound, adds the Python 3.14 classifier, and adds Python 3.14 core and CLI coverage to CI and the release publishing gate: #172
Optional ML and OCR profiles remain dependent on upstream Python 3.14 package availability and are not newly certified by this change. We will verify the published PyPI metadata after the fix is released.
The published metadata now declares Requires-Python: >=3.10. We also verified a normal pip install datafog==4.8.1 and a scan/redaction smoke test on Python 3.14 after publication.
