Summary

  • Delete the unused Greetings workflow, which posts placeholder messages on first-time issues and pull requests.
  • Remove its privileged pull_request_target trigger rather than adding an Actions event policy exception.
  • Leave CodeQL, DevSkim, Super-Linter, traffic reporting, and repository policies unchanged.

Verification

  • Compared the branch against master: the only change is deletion of .github/workflows/greetings.yml (16 lines).
  • No remaining workflow was edited or executed as part of this change.

Behavior change

Automatic first-time issue and pull request greetings will stop after merge. This is intentional and approved by the repository administrator.

Addresses the workflow identified in the pull_request_target reminder ahead of December 2, 2026 enforcement. This PR does not change policy settings and has not been merged.

Remove placeholder issue and pull request greetings to eliminate the pull_request_target trigger without adding an event policy exception.
