Alex · Frontend Developer (React / TypeScript)

Cologne, Germany

About Me

I build accessible, maintainable and user-focused web applications with modern frontend technologies. My strengths lie in clean architecture, consistency in UI/UX and improving developer experience within teams.

I enjoy working in environments where thoughtful code, testing practices and collaborative discussion lead to long-term stability and clarity.

Core Focus Areas

  • Scalable application structure with React + TypeScript
  • Nx monorepos and shared UI component libraries
  • TailwindCSS and design system implementation
  • Formik + Yup for reliable form workflows
  • Cypress for confident end-to-end testing
  • Improving internal DX tooling (scripts, CLI helpers, automation)

Open Source & Contributions

I regularly contribute small fixes, refactoring improvements and accessibility enhancements to various open source projects.

Examples include:

  • Home Assistant ecosystem improvements
  • Minor bug fixes in community libraries and tooling
  • Clean-up and documentation improvements where clarity helps others

I don’t wait for permission; if I notice something that improves developer experience or correctness, I open a PR.

Personal Interests

Outside of work I enjoy:

  • Automating my home with Home Assistant and custom integrations
  • Building practical DIY projects
  • Prototyping UI/UX ideas in Figma

I like improving small things that make everyday workflows smoother.

Clean code is not about writing faster. It's about understanding it later.
