Project Phoenix keeps Vitruvian V-Form Trainer and Trainer+ machines usable with a community-built Android and iOS app. This wiki is written for app users and reflects the current public release, v0.9.1 - Stability, Diagnostics, and Integration Sync, published May 25, 2026.

You need a phone or tablet with Bluetooth Low Energy. Android users need Android 8.0 or newer. iPhone and iPad users need iOS or iPadOS 14.0 or newer.
- Android: join the beta from the project site, or install the APK from the v0.9.1 release.
- iOS: use TestFlight, or sideload the IPA from the v0.9.1 release if you are comfortable with AltStore or Apple Developer tools.
- See Installation for permissions, update behavior, and sideloading notes.
- Install the app and accept the required Bluetooth permissions.
- Power on the trainer and stay close to it.
- Open the app and connect to the trainer from the workout flow.
- From the Workout tab, choose:
- Just Lift for a quick unplanned set.
- Single Exercise to pick one exercise and configure its mode, weight, and reps.
- Routines to run a saved sequence of exercises.
- Training Cycles to follow an active multi-day schedule.
- After the set or workout, review the summary, tag Just Lift sets when prompted, and check Analytics for history, progress, and PRs.

Project Phoenix controls hardware capable of generating significant resistance. Start conservatively, keep the area clear, and stop if the machine behaves unexpectedly. Use the app's diagnostics and connection logs when reporting problems.
