It is possible (and desirable) to install WhatWeb in Windows without resorting to WSL.
This will not only allow to run WhatWeb and WhatWebGUI in instances with low-end resources (like running Windows inside a VM) but will also provide an easier path for cross-platform development (no need to relay on wsl)
