I learned about you from Javascript Weekly, and I am so happy to see this repo.

I'm part of the Bufferbloat community. We're always looking for tools that detect undesired lag or latency and algorithms to decrease it. But fetch-network-simulator is a "bufferbloat inducer"! That is, it puts the bufferbloat back into the network...

Having been in the "test equipment" realm for decades, be prepared for reports that say, "Everything works until I turn on this program. So the simulator must have a bug... " :-)

You’re right — the tool is intentionally acting as a “bufferbloat inducer” at the application layer. The goal is to reproduce unstable or degraded network behavior during development so timing-dependent UI bugs can be surfaced early.

I also appreciate the warning about test equipment reports — that sounds very realistic!
