I hit the issue as described [here](https://github.com/aws/aws-cli/issues/2290) I resolved it something like this, as described in the above issue - https://github.com/Jaikant/aws-code-deploy/commit/83f2aa7d12df495e1d5d1950684ef0d794f670ba I am not sure if it is the right solution, but I can send you a pull if you think it is.
