Important

Something broken, an error message, a traceback or a wrong result? Please open an Issue, not a discussion. Issues are tracked and labelled, and discussion threads get lost.

The Machine Vision Toolbox for Python (MVTB) is free software that I maintain in my own time alongside other work. Discussions are for the conversation around it: usage questions, ideas and things you've built.

Where does my post go?

I want to...	Go to
Report a bug, an error or a wrong result	Issues
Request a specific feature	Issues
Float an early idea	Discussions, Ideas
Ask how to do something	Discussions, Q&A
Show something you've made	Discussions, Show and tell

Before you post

1. Upgrade, since many problems are already fixed: pip install -U machinevision-toolbox-python.
2. Check the documentation.
3. Search existing Issues and Discussions.

What makes a post easy to answer

• Your versions: machinevisiontoolbox.__version__, your Python version and your operating system.
• A short, complete script that I can run, as text and not a screenshot.
• The full traceback, if there is one.
• What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.

What to expect

Replies can take days or weeks. A clear, minimal example gets answered much faster than a description. Please be patient and kind with others: this is a community we build together.
