Important

Found a mistake in the book, or code from the book that doesn't run or gives a wrong result? Please open an Issue, not a discussion. Issues are tracked and labelled, and discussion threads get lost.

This repository supports the book Robotics, Vision & Control (3rd edition, Python): the rvc3python package, rvctool, and the notebooks and figure code. I maintain it in my own time alongside other work. Discussions are for the conversation around the book and its code.

Before you post

1. Upgrade, since many problems are already fixed: pip install -U rvc3python.
2. Run rvctool --test. It checks that everything is installed and works, and its output is what I need to see.
3. Check the Errata and search existing Issues and Discussions.

What makes a post easy to answer

• The page, section or chapter of the book, and which edition.
• The output of rvctool --test, your Python version and your operating system.
• A short, complete script, as text and not a screenshot.
• The full traceback, if there is one.
• What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.

What to expect

Replies can take days or weeks. A clear, minimal example gets answered much faster than a description. Please be patient and kind with others: this is a community we build together.
