Description of issue

Following https://github.com/orgs/Homebrew/discussions/6609, I want to uninstall/remove cask "cog". However, for some strange reason I cannot uninstall it and get a prompt that it is apparently not installed. Can someone tell me a) why and b) how I can uninstall that cask?

fabian@MacBook ~ % brew uninstall --cask cog
Error: Cask 'cog-app' is not installed.

fabian@MacBook ~ % brew uninstall --cask cog-app

Can you try -f option? If not work, you can manually remove cask by removing the folders. The path will be $(brew --prefix)/Caskroom/cog.

-f helped already - what I don't understand is why uninstalling "cog" removed "cog-app":

==> Uninstalling Cask cog-app
==> Backing App 'Cog.app' up to '/opt/homebrew/Caskroom/cog-app/3357,582c02495/Cog.app'
==> Removing App '/Applications/Cog.app'
==> Purging files for version 3357,582c02495 of Cask cog-app

...and when I check all casks, "cog" is still listed:

Why is that?

Shall I try to remove the folder completely?

cask cog is renamed to cog-app and this might cause some remains. You can remove cog path as well.
