[Bug] Add file to feature is not showing up directly

Describe the bug

When I add a file to favorites it is sometimes taking long and also not updating automatically the favorite page. So one need to take quite some time and then reload the page so the favorites are shown (would also love if the favorites are as tree on the left side):

@aduffeck I guess this is because favorites are handled by the search service and favorites only show up after the indexes were updated (which, depending on load and maybe other things might take a while)? So this is basically "by-design", or am I misunderstanding that?

yes related to the tika had that file not yet indexed. Is there a way to have bottom right a notification that it does that or so, so one does not wonder that it is not in favorites yet?

Also not sure it if is good to have favorite depend of tika. As when it does take some time to index or even fails then I cant make it as favorite?

It doesn’t depend on tika. Tika is not needed for favorites.

The information is stored on the files / folders themselves.

The search index (bleve) is used as a reverse index for fast lookup.

Again, tika is the content extractor, not needed for favorites

Right, tika isn't required for the favorites feature to work but when tika extraction is configured the favorite information won't be commited to the search index before that extraction is done. And when tika fails the whole update including the favorite information will be "lost" and only picked up with the next index operation.
The favorite information itself is still stored properly on the file system, it just can't be found in the UI because we use the search service to expose the favorite flags.

So currently this actually works "as designed", but I tend to agree that it would be nice to skip the full-fledged content extraction for favorite changes.

What I was able to reproduce is also that when one is in favorites and I added a file to favorites before that it does not automatically updates the view. I need to reload the full page
