OpenCloud Android App fails on CameraUpload

Describe the bug

When the app should upload a new photo, 2 things can happen.

1. It tries to upload the same photo multiple times
2. The uploaded photo on the server has 0 bytes (and cannot be display, of course)

Steps to reproduce

1. Take a photo
2. Wait

Expected behavior

After a wghile, all photos I have taken should be present exact 1 time on the server

Actual behavior

There are multiple entries for each photo in the "Uploads" section of the app. And multiple files on the server.
ASome of them are corrupt and have 0 bytes

After restarting the device it seems to work.

Still not fixed for me, I have my InstantUpload/Camera folder filled with zero-byte files, and the app is perfectly convinced it job is done.

Still not fixed in 1.2.0 (last updated on 24 March 2026). Zero-byte files as usual. Why not try one of the many rsync builds for Android?

Meanwhile I switched to a (self hosted) immich instance.
