Allow filters in "Choose version" window when installing a mod that doesn't match your instance #7433

Modrinth App

Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

Everytime I try to install a Fabric only mod on a non-Fabric instance I have to sift through all available versions until I find the latest one for my Minecraft version.

If I specifically had Fabric selected in my search filters, it automatically selects the newest version for my Minecraft version, but still shows me all available versions.

Describe the solution you'd like

Modrinth should instead only show versions that match my current search filters, and allow me to change them if necessary, just like browsing the versions page:

Describe alternatives you've considered

If no loader is specified, instead of not selecting anything, Modrinth could select whatever the latest available version for your Minecraft version is. If the mod is only available for one loader, it makes no sense not to just guess the only applicable option.
