Just FYI, I am original dev of SyslogDecode, I left Microsoft about a year ago. At the time, producing the official MS nuget package was a huge pain in the ass, so we skipped on this initially, were too busy launching syslog servers across the Azure.
Since I left, looks like nobody gives a damn. But don't get me wrong, SyslogDecode is used heavily there, runs on dozens of servers watching all network devices. 500K messages per sec, with top at 30k/sec per node (at the time I left).
Just to assure you - it works, and works great.
Building it locally should not be a problem, net-Standard and zero dependencies. Good luck!
