MeshOS 1.0.8: auto-add = off - doesn't work

Contacts keep filling up even with auto-add = off

I think that something else is happening here - only "some" contacts popped in, but my own other devices didn't. I suspect that they've... been there all along? (Looks like most of them have T-Deck in the name, possibly from previous testing?)

I can’t add contacts when auto add is off. The same for repeater when auto add is off.
There is a Heard list, but no option to add contacts form that
