Description
Problem
Raymond currently has sole operational control of the isamples.org Cloudflare zone (DNS, Workers, R2 data hosting). If he's unavailable, no one else can update DNS records, fix the data.isamples.org Worker, or manage subdomains.
Background
- Domain registrar: eNom, controlled by Peng/Columbia IT — they retain ownership
- DNS + CDN: Cloudflare, under Raymond's personal account — nameservers delegated as of 2026-04-03
- Key infrastructure hosted there:
isamples.org→ GitHub Pages (A records)data.isamples.org→ Cloudflare Worker proxying R2 parquet fileswww.isamples.org→ redirect to apex
Proposal
Add at least one other team member as a Domain Administrator on Raymond's Cloudflare account, scoped to the isamples.org zone only. This gives them:
- Full DNS record management (create/edit/delete any subdomain)
- Worker and R2 visibility for
isamples.orgroutes - No access to Raymond's other Cloudflare zones
What the backup admin would need to do
- Create a free Cloudflare account (if they don't have one)
- Raymond invites them via Account → Members → Invite
- Done — they see
isamples.orgin their own Cloudflare dashboard
Who should this be?
Discuss at meeting. Candidates:
- Someone technical who might need to update DNS or debug data serving
- Ideally someone who will be involved past July 2026 if the infrastructure persists
References
- Use data.isamples.org for all parquet file URLs #79 — migrated all URLs to
data.isamples.org - Set up data.isamples.org custom domain for R2 parquet files #75 — original DNS setup (closed)
