rename doesnt accept arabic letters

I tried to use rename to rename the app to an Arabic name but it gives me the following:

ERROR: The project name must only contain letters or spaces

any idea? if not how do I manually change the name?

Check the code, alter allowable characters if you want to try. No idea if it will work?
