Tico, where better conversation happen, was nominated as one of the best startups in HackerNoon's Startups of the Year. This is the story of their founder.
As time progressed, programming methods became simpler so that applications can be developed and delivered fast. This led to the popularity of low-code and later no-code approach to application development. Both low-code and no-code take a drag-and-drop visual approach to build business applications more efficiently. The idea is to reduce or replace complicated coding with a configuration approach. This allows citizen developers to build and test applications quickly.
Here is a practical example of using low-code platform such as Linx and an open-source workflow engine like Camunda for rapid business process automation.
Research into the attitudes of professional software developer towards low-code and nocode tools, including recommendations for low-code and nocode tool makers.
Recently, I faced with lack of documentation when I wanted to use Consul as a host resolver in gRPC connections. That’s why I wanted to write this story.
No code applications are all the rage amongst fans of digital transformation. But do they actually facilitate the goal of making organizations more efficient, connected, and effective?
Today’s technology is about the future of application development rather than the past. The shift to modern tools such as low-code is happening no matter the controversies.
Developing apps normally needs experienced programmers who are familiar with development. However, these low-code and no-code apps change the paradigm.
Blent.ai has been using n8n for increasing customer engagement and improving customer experience. We talked with Maxime Jumelle, co-founder of Blent.ai to learn more.
As a full-stack developer who primarily uses React and .NET, I have traditionally shied away from platform-specific integrations. Throughout my career, I have heard of Salesforce and "Salesforce Developers" (and I have also heard that Salesforce Developers were well-compensated), but otherwise, these terms never provoked my interest. After all, why would I want to lock myself into learning skills and abilities which only allowed me to work with one specific application?
Let’s take a look at a classic example of a situation that I have observed numerous times. An enthusiastic maker has an idea for a great product and starts building right away without checking for competitors, creating a landing page first or getting some feedback from potential users. The maker sits down in front of his computer and starts building his product blindly.
People working in the digital space have most likely heard the phrases “low-code” and “no-code” circulating lately in discussions regarding app development.
Google trends (GT) is an under-utilized superweapon and harvests a massive amount of search data. But, it hasn't been possible to use GT for real time machine learning tasks, such as predicting stock price or crypto currency movements, until now....In this blog, we'll explain the problem with GT for machine learning, the fix to GT data and the edge we've built in crypto trading models at edgebase.io.We are currently looking for experienced crypto traders as beta testers for our product - please reach out to hello@edgebase.io! Making websites work and making websites look great are two different skills. Even so, here are some basic guidelines that ensure that your website looks great.
I am a big fan of Telegram because of its great bot-ecosystem. I have been planning to make a bot for a while and have been looking for some nice workflow tools that can help me accomplish handling the back-end workflow of the bots visually. Recently, I started working with n8n, a fair-code licensed tool that helps you automate tasks, sync data between various sources and react to events all via a visual workflow editor.
The trick of being an entrepreneur is to extend your runway long enough to become profitable. If you haven’t nailed product-market fit by the time you run out of cash, the jig is up.
Data is not code. Professional analytics is not Python\SQL coding. We value our time, and time to value. Data people deserve the best tooling possible.
Over the course of history, humans have endeavored to make things faster, easier, and more efficient. Software is no exception to this – it was created to solve real-life problems.
In recent years Low-code/No-code has become a hot topic. According to that approach an IT-system is developed visually. Conventional wisdom says that building an MVP on low-code is OK, but if something sophisticated and scalable is needed, you have to code it traditionally. These visual tools seem to be very limited. Let me reveal the other side of low-code world, which has no such limits.
Do you want to build a fast, mobile, and high-ranking website with no coding experience? Hiring a developer would make the grade, but could cost you a pretty penny. So how can you nail eye-catching pages for your website without coding wiz? Well, the mighty drag-n-drop page builder might come to your rescue.
A few years ago, the launch of any online business was associated with many difficulties. It was necessary to find developers who will build your website.
As a designer and self-proclaimed data nerd, I’ve been involved in proceduralizing creative deliverables for some time. Up until now however, my concepts always had to reconcile with the limitations of InDesign macros or my coding skills. n8n empowers me to apply my basic understanding of data objects and the interwebs to create some pretty slick automations with minimal effort.
The interaction among many tools in the design & development space all point to a new emerging category: “Continuous Design / Continuous Integration" or "CD/CI"
We started creating our Applicant Tracking System by using this template on Airtable and built the following tables on top of it - using forms and the grid.
Notion vs. Coda: a look at 10 features in Coda that are better than Notion from the perspective of a Coda employee. This article has been updated for 2022.
Collecting data from the web can be the core of data science. In this article, we'll see how to start with scraping with or without having to write code.
As someone who has used both Buildbox and Unity to make games, I read with extreme interest a post by Venturebeat about the announcement of AppOnboard's new CEO, Mike Seavers. This could be one of the biggest wins for the company ever since Jonathan Zweig and AppOnboard acquired Buildbox last year. Zweig himself is an experienced entrepreneur, having co-founded AdColony in 2008 (sold to Opera for $350m in 2014) and co-founded AppOnboard in 2016. AppOnboard has raised $35m from investors, according to Crunchbase, and the new appointment could lead to new funding rounds when the time is right. This is going to lead to a very interesting David vs Goliath battle between AppOnboard's Buildbox and Unity Technologies.
Recently, Amazon released a new tool, called Honeycode, which lets customers quickly build mobile and web applications — with no coding required. This came a few months after Google’s acquisition of the no-code mobile-app-building platform, AppSheet. While these moves surprised many, they’re in line with a larger trend I’ve observed, one that’s growing strong in all sectors, even amidst economic turmoil.
COVID-19 proved to a lot of organizations that we’re not as digital as we like to think we are – even today’s top enterprises are still relatively ‘old-school’ and are behind in their digitalization progress.
I like getting things done quickly, not just for the sense of accomplishment, but because I know I can also move on to other projects and collaborations in the wings. Since I was a kid, however, I heard that speed was dangerous, that it inherently meant cutting corners. “Isn’t it good enough?” I’d ask my mom after a quick, hacked attempt at making my bed. “If you’re going to do something, do it well,” she said. I thought my bed was perfectly fine. She did not.
No-Code Report is a weekly no-code newsletter, built using no-code tools like Webflow, Airtable, and Zapier. Working at a no-code analytics firm, I wanted to learn about insights in the field more broadly, so I spoke with No-Code Report's founder, Parker Thompson, on the state of the industry and its future.
In this article, I will be discussing these cases for which I highly recommend Velo and in cases, where I find it difficult that Velo would be a good solution.
A field that is bringing alot of commotion and noise is Artificial Intelligence. But something that really fascinates me is a subset of that field known as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or the holy grail of Artificial Intelligence.
