Box-drawing characters misaligned in italic

In italics, the vertical bars of different box-drawing characters are not aligned with each other.

(Tested on the variable fonts, version 1.400)

I appreciate the issue report. (even though I am not a developer of this repository) Unfortunately I don't think that this would get fixed anytime soon as...

... our contract with the type foundry has ended and there's no additional budget for major surgeries...
