Onboarding request: com.recordhtml/mcp (RecordHTML) for github.com/mcp
#3608
Hi! Following #1257 (onboarding to github.com/mcp is a manual curation step after publishing to the open source registry), I'd like to request onboarding for RecordHTML.
What it does. RecordHTML records web pages and HTML5 creatives (banners, animations, landing pages) to MP4, WebM or GIF in a real browser and returns a signed video link. An agent can record a public URL, or write an HTML document and record that. Pages can mark the exact start and end of their animation with trim_start() / trim_end(), and every recording reports dropped frames, page errors and failed requests. For Copilot users this means: build or change a banner or an animated component in agent mode, then get a video or GIF of it without leaving the editor.
OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256), RFC 9728 protected resource metadata, dynamic client registration and CIMD (Clerk as the authorization server). API key as a Bearer token for headless agents.
Tools
5, all with titles and annotations: record_html, get_recording, estimate_recording, list_recordings (read-only), delete_recording (destructive)
New versions are published to the OSS registry with mcp-publisher, so they will sync after onboarding. Happy to provide a logo (SVG/PNG), a longer description or a reviewer account if that helps the review.
