[Feature Request] Add SHA-256 support #2725
Description
GitLab and Codeberg support SHA-256 formatted commit hash OIDs. I believe the need for this feature will only grow increasingly important given recent GHA supply chain attack cases (CVE-2025-30066, CVE-2025-30154).
