2.61 update keeps failing

I'm running 2.60.4 on my mac. There is an available update to 2.61.0 which fork detects, downloads, and extracts but fails to install. The app on the website appears to be 2.60.4 so I was unable to manually update to 2.61.0.

I'd like to give you more details but the nature of my work means I likely cannot do that.

I also encountered an error and couldn't update from version 2.61.0. However, I was able to install it successfully by manually downloading the DMG file from the link below:
