Invalid regular expression flags

Hello All,
I am getting 'Invalid Regular Expression flags' error when i try executing any sf command either on visual studio code or my command prompt.I am using Linux Mint OS.Is someone else facing the same issue with salesforce cli for Linux.Only sf --version command is working as expected ,all other commands are giving me 'Invalid Regular Expression flags' error

Salesforce cli version->salesforce/cli/2.143.6 linux-x64 node-v18.19.1
OS->Linux Mint-22

Steps to reproduce
Open 'Terminal' and execute any sf command such as in the OS terminal.
or Open Visual studio code and execute any sf command such as sf org login web --alias in it's terminal.
