Echo 1.0: Edict Native Invocation in Echo #583

Description

@flyingrobots

Echo 1.0 requires Edict to work and to be used natively in Echo for executing Jedit operations.

Purpose

Replace bespoke application command paths with admitted Edict artifacts that define deterministic operations, optics, authority requirements, and invocation envelopes.

Required capabilities

  • Echo can load or receive an Edict bundle subject.
  • Echo can distinguish semantic and release bundle identity where relevant.
  • Echo can register/preflight/admit an exact Edict artifact under participant policy.
  • Echo can invoke an admitted Edict operation against explicit basis/frontier and canonical variables.
  • Echo can compute effective authority from artifact requirements, admission grant, presented capabilities, current policy, revocation, and budget.
  • Echo can emit deterministic receipts/outcomes/obstructions for Edict execution.

Jedit requirement

This track is not complete until Jedit operations execute through this native Edict path rather than a bespoke Jedit/Echo command path.

Exit criteria

  • Minimal Edict bundle executes inside Echo through the native path.
  • Negative authority and replay/idempotency fixtures exist.
  • Jedit operation fixture executes through Edict and produces the expected Echo receipt/outcome.
