Antenna Control issue

On ubuntu (24.04), running gpredict 2.4 the rotator control seems broken. when clicking the track button the AZ/EL values grey out previous but the values do not change to the selected satellite target values (stay at 180/45 degrees) and no output to hamlib. nor does hamlib receive a connection when engage button is clicked.
This works once reverted back to gpredict 2.3.115 - no other changes made.

Hi, i have the same issue on Debian 13 and Arch, it seems like it is caused by commit dfb7b02 since reverting its changes resolves the issue.

I'm on Debian 13 and can't reproduce this problem. I agree that the referenced commit is suspicious, however, if I revert the program will crash every time the rotator window is closed.

It looks like there is some leftover junk in the thread and controller management, so I will have to dig deeper in the code.

I think we are talking about the same problem, my bug report in Ubuntu (gpredict 2.3-115-g0f3beb6-3build3). Am I right?
