Updates for week of 6/15/2026

• revert recent changes to prepare for adding testing
• gang scheduling with testing in GitHub actions
• fluence should not allow scheduling to control plane nodes
• update the above to be anything labeled with unschedable
• quantum emulation to schedule to ibm marrakesh
• testing of quantum emulation and gang in CI
• cancel needs to be added back, with testing
• custom attribute matching (e.g., system constraints in flux) so a user can further customize the submit
• ideally we would have events or an ability to call an endpoint and know when quantum work has started. Instead, we can deploy a probe pod that can submit the quantum work, and gate the rest of the compute workload until it starts. The probe pod can be specific to the API or vendor (e.g., one for Braket, one for qrmi) and still require the user namespace credential.
• restore of state needs to be added back, also with testing (note, I would like update_allocate merged into flux-sched first, see [go-sdk]: Implement reapi cli update allocate flux-framework/flux-sched#1506, although I do not count on that. Hopefully Jim's will be reviewed and merged, because that will work too.)
• add demo/examples with AWS Braket resources
