Debug program compiled from IFS not working

Hello,
in our environment, we use GitLab to make automatic compilation of ILE pgms.
Now, pipeline uses transferring files to a temporary ifs path and compiling them.
Once the compilation is completed, the ifs path is deleted.
From greenscreen with STRDBG I am able to see the source, even though the ifs path is deleted, from vscode it either stays loading or notifies me that the ifs file does not exist.

Subscribing to this - we're having the same issue as we transfer compiled programs to another partition for debugging/testing, where the program source does not exist.

@buzzia2001 The IBM i debugger can only use the source path that is built into the compiler generated debug information to locate the source right now. It does not allow the user to provide an additional source lookup path.

However, we are not sure whether your scenario is in this category, as STRDBG works for you.

If you have RDi on your machine, you can use RDi to debug the same program and report the result to us. If RDi also fails, then it is likely to be the limitation described above.

Alternatively, you can provide us the manual steps to reproduce the problem, which include the following information:

1. The original location of the source
2. The destination IFS location after the transfer. As we do not have your transferring tool, we will use a physical copy to simulate the transfer.
3. The command you use to compile the program
4. If you use a special parameter to invoke the program, include this information as well.
