[Bug] PlumeImactor v2.0.0 DOA on Linux

As mentioned I created the issue to separate it from Windows one. I have all dependencies installed on XeroLinux (My Distro based on Arch). Yet app fails to launch. Tried AUR and AppImage no go. Running from Terminal nets me these errors...

It's about dead_hamza

Someone else tested on arch linux and it worked fine for them when installing libayatana-appindicator-gtk3

@khcrysalis Funny coz I did install that as mentioned 3 times previously yet here we are so since am not a dev I have no clue. Will stick with version that works for now I guess

I do suggest experimenting with it and see what works, I cannot guarantee compatibility with obscure linux distros.

The only solution i know of is installing proper dependencies, you can try stuff from aur.

@khcrysalis First off my distro is not obscure been in existence for almost 5 years and is based on Arch so whatever works on Arch works on it. Second, I installed libayatana-appindicator since libayatana-appindicator-gtk3 does not exist as a package on either Arch or AUR repos.. So whoever said they installed it should provide source coz all I get is libayatana-appindicator and that does not work.

I get that you could be a Windows/macOS only user though.

I test everything using fedora-linux/mac/windows, I also have a tester on arch

Also, you need to chill with the attitude, ive been trying to help you with a dependency issue

@DarkXero-dev I made a fresh arch install and both the appimage and my aur package works without installing any more dependecis then those already installed, I would suggest you listen to @khcrysalis advice

@se2crid BTW I am TechXero one who reported your package out of date on the AUR.

Still getting error. Since you are the dev I came to you. If no solution then I will stick to what works I have no problem doing that at all. I already pin a few apps so they don't get updated.

well i asked se2crid if they can reproduce on your distribution but the full "unlocked" version is paid.

@khcrysalis Yep it sure is coz I gotta pay the bills somehow without a job and being from Lebanon. I can send him the ISO for free if he can test. Privately though. Could it be coz I do not ship X11 just wayland ? Coz complaints are mostly X11 driven

Nope not that.. Tried forcing X11 same errors

So, issue solved by using -git from AUR. Up to you if you want to mark this as solved or not thanks you guys.

We'll keep it open in the meantime and see if there's anyone else having issues with the pre-built appimage

I'm on Linux Mint 22.3 and I'm also having this issue. Only versions from 1.4.1 down open up. The other versions (from 2.0.0) just show the similar errors that was listed in OP and the program fails to open.
I also have installed gir1.2-ayatanaappindicator3-0.1
What could be wrong and how could I fix it please?
