We previously had the ability in open source subprojects to test with a given Kubernetes version, which would help with debugging or with checking the impact of a new feature.
It was mentioned in the open standup on 2024-07-16 that this no longer works (likely as part of the migration to makefile modules).
It would be good to re-enable testing with arbitrary kubernetes versions as we had before.
