📋 Project Overview

SecureVault Browser is a privacy and security-focused web browser based on Chromium. It removes all Google services, telemetry, and tracking while adding enhanced security features. The browser is designed for users who want the performance of Chromium without compromising their privacy.

Status: Early Development
Target Audience: Privacy-conscious users, security professionals, organizations

1. build-chromium.sh

  • Builds from official Chromium source

2. build-ungoogled.sh

  • Builds from Ungoogled Chromium base
  • More aggressive Google removal
  • Additional privacy patches
  • Community-maintained patches

3. build-branded.sh

  • Applies SecureVault branding
  • Replaces icons and assets
  • Updates product strings
  • Modifies UI elements

Platform Packaging Scripts

Debian/Ubuntu:

  • build-debian-package.sh - Standard build

  • Creates .deb with proper dependencies

RPM (Fedora/RHEL):

Build Process

Prerequisites

# Minimum requirements
- 100GB+ free disk space
- 32GB+ RAM recommended
- 8-12 hours build time (first build)
- Linux: Ubuntu 22.04+ or similar
- Python 3.8+
- Git
- Build tools (gcc, make, etc.)

Setup Environment

Option 1: Web Interface

Linux Installation
