📋 Project Overview

SecureVault Browser is a privacy and security-focused web browser based on Chromium. It removes all Google services, telemetry, and tracking while adding enhanced security features. The browser is designed for users who want the performance of Chromium without compromising their privacy.

Status: Early Development
Target Audience: Privacy-conscious users, security professionals, organizations

Zero Data Collection

Main Build Scripts

1. build-chromium.sh

  • Builds from official Chromium source
  • Downloads latest Chromium release
  • Applies SecureVault patches
  • Compiles for current platform

2. build-ungoogled.sh

  • Builds from Ungoogled Chromium base
  • More aggressive Google removal
  • Additional privacy patches
  • Community-maintained patches

3. build-branded.sh

  • Applies SecureVault branding
  • Replaces icons and assets
  • Updates product strings
  • Modifies UI elements

Platform Packaging Scripts

Debian/Ubuntu:

  • build-debian-package.sh - Standard build
  • build-debian-branded.sh - Branded version
  • Creates .deb with proper dependencies

RPM (Fedora/RHEL):

  • build-rpm-package.sh - Standard build
  • build-rpm-branded.sh - Branded version
  • Creates .rpm with spec file

AppImage:

  • build-appimage.sh - Universal Linux package
  • Single file executable
  • No installation required

Windows:

  • build-windows.sh - Windows build
  • build-windows-msi.sh - MSI installer
  • create-windows-package.sh - Package creation
  • Cross-compilation or Windows build environment

macOS:

  • Creates .dmg disk image
  • Code signing (if configured)

Build Process

Prerequisites

# Minimum requirements
- 100GB+ free disk space
- 32GB+ RAM recommended
- 8-12 hours build time (first build)
- Linux: Ubuntu 22.04+ or similar
- Python 3.8+
- Git
- Build tools (gcc, make, etc.)

Setup Environment

bash setup.sh

Option 1: Web Interface

Click: "Start SecureVault Build"

🚀 Installation & Usage

Linux Installation

Debian/Ubuntu (.deb):
