What happened?
Windows host and Linux guest can not communicate with each other via bridged adapter UNLESS you turn off checksum offloading for IPV4 tcp/udp on the host network driver. I came up with this crazy solution because of a user with the same issue on Reddit. My network card is an Intel I211 and theirs was a realtek . https://www.reddit.com/r/virtualbox/comments/1kso45f/virtualbox_bridged_networking_guest_cant_reach/mtv4j5j/
How can we reproduce this?
Try to communicate between a windows 11 host and a linux guest.. when it fails go into the host computer's
device manager and pull up the driver for the network card and disable checksum offloading for IPV4 and suddenly the communication work back and forth.. then re-enable the checksum offloading and watch it break instantly.
Did you upload all of your necessary log files, screenshots, etc.?
