docs: README polish (badges, 45+ count, punctuation) (#18)

Org-wide public-facing cleanup:

- Badge row (registry version, license, docs) matching the new org
profile README style.
- Sportsbook count 20+ updated to the canonical 45+ (this README
predates the #334 canonicalization on the site).
- Em dashes replaced with plain punctuation, including inside
example-code print strings (house style).
