Opening the Diff tool during a merge does not work

Hi,

I using this extension with a diff tool configured for a specific extension.
When look at normal changes in VS code opening the diff tools works as expected - however during a merge the diff tool does not open.
The merge tool works as expected.

Is there a way to debug the call of the diff tool?

Yeah, the source code is pretty simple. It's been forever since I developed it but this should get you started: https://code.visualstudio.com/api

It has the launch setup here: https://github.com/RandomEngy/VSCodeGitDiffAndMergeTool/blob/master/.vscode/launch.json so I think the IDE should prompt you to run it and launch a second VSCode instance.
