dexli: a Pokédex card checklist and binder placeholder printer using PokeAPI

I built dexli, a free web app for collecting one Pokémon TCG card for every Pokédex species. PokeAPI's species data runs the checklist: National Dex numbers, names in eight languages, types, and the sprites on the printable binder placeholders.

Thansk for showcasing! It's quite rare to see our API used for a TCG matter. Was it difficult to map cards to API resources? Did you only use 'pokemon species'?

Thanks! The mapping was fairly straightforward because the card data already includes National Dex numbers: dexId in TCGdex and nationalPokedexNumbers in pokemon-tcg-data. I use those to link cards to PokeAPI species IDs, so there's no need to match card names across languages.

Species are the backbone of the checklist, but I also use the default Pokémon for each species to get its types and choose its sprite. The goal is one card per species, so alternate forms don't need separate checklist entries.

One detail I should have made clearer in the original post: I build an offline catalog from the CSVs in the PokeAPI repo (pokemon_species, pokemon_species_names, pokemon, pokemon_types and types), plus sprites from PokeAPI/sprites, rather than calling the API at runtime. That lets the checklist work offline too. Thanks again for making all that data available!
