Assessment scoring - how to deal with questions that are not applicable?

Not all the assessment questions are applicable for every solution, for instance in v1.1 of the template there is:

SD10 - "The API follows the lifecycle policy best practice as set out within Sunsetting (deprecation and retirement) policy (Confluence). This should include any enforcement arrangements."

Your solution might not have an API (as long as it still meets the API First policy 😉 )
Some options:

1. Put "N/A" in the Evidence column, potentially with justification
   • Score as 5, so as to not bring down the score since it should not be a consideration
2. Change the score column to allow an N/A option and adjust the scoring in the background
