tab name 'compact' mode

Hello,
I have many tab in parallel, and I am at the end of the horizontal line of tab name.

By doing :
guake -r "my_tab"
There is a few space before and after the tab name,

Would it be possible to reduce this space ? having a compact mode for the naming of the tab ,
It would allow to open more tab, without having to slide the full complete horizontal.
