"+" sign for new tab opening covers x sign for closing the most below tab. You have to scroll up and down so + sign dissapears, and only then you can close that tab.

When you have many tabs and focus is automatically on the last tab it cannot be scaling issue, its just inevitable. You have to have many tabs to reproduce the issue, more than fits on a screen. As you can see my most top tab is halved, so i can scroll up. But if i had just enough tabs to fill the screen issue wouldnt reproduce.

Puting + sign on top bar makes more sense.

But what to do with inability to close the tab? If you configured that your new tabs open in the end of the list, and after opening new tab you want to close that latest tab via tab list, you cant do it quickly, because x button is covered.

A quick scroll up/down should hide the button, or you could configure the close button as well to be included in the tab bar if that helps?

I am not using tab bar. Also if you want to close tab in the end of the list and you are now in tab in the beggining of the list and you have 15 or more tabs you have to scroll right a lot to reach there. Which is more annoying than scrollig up and down trick.

Also, as i can understand, if your setting is to open new tabs on top, tab list focus will be automatically scrolled up, and if your setting to open tabs in bottom, it will be scrolled down to the end. So i guess for people who choose open tabs in top its not an issue. But for me, every time i open a tab list there is overlap.

I am doing that trick with scrolling up and down, but i am wondering if there is possibility for replacement of default position of plus button, so it could be, lets say, more left. Or it could be dragable, so user would place plus button customly where he wants, and placement would be remembered. Or just including plus option on a top toolbar of tab menu, where the sorting button and ai button and others are, instead of individual button.

I find this annoying as well. I already have a new tab button in middle in contextual toolbar, i don't need a second one. It just gets in the way by covering the close button of bottom most tab in list. There should be an option to disable it.
