Date Type Selection UX

The current date selection UX for creating a new task is not very intuitive. It takes time for first-time users to understand and does not feel smooth to use.

How would you like to see it implemented?

A dropdown based selection in the same row as date can be a better way of doing it.

This is exactly what I meant by a “dropdown in the same row as the date picker.” This UI is significantly easier to understand and more user-friendly, especially for new users when changing the date type.
