After Winget NETworkManager can't scan IP Addresses

Describe your issue:

Using Windows 11 Pro Powershell / winget to download the latest version of NETworkManager. After that update the "IP Scanner" hangs searching the network. This has been a problem for years.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Start Powershell on Windows 11 Pro as Admin
2. enter "winget upgrade --all"
3. NETworkManager upgraded
4. Click desktop shortcut for NETworkManager
5. Click thru initial start screen
6. Click IP Scanner
7. IP scan starts and spinner appears forever

NETworkManager version: 2026.7.7.0

Can you try to re-install it? If this doesn't work, can you test the portable version?

Had a similar issue where a fresh install solved the issue in another tool.

Edit: Does this happen after each update? Or what so you mean it is a problem for years?

What I mean by "for years" for the last couple of years upgrading has meant IP Scan hanging like this on systems that I manage. In other words, it's been an annoyance more than a problem.

My first workaround was to uninstall, download the latest image from the website, and reinstall. This may require a reinstall of .net.

My current workaround is to go to Windows Settings / APPs / Installed Apps/ NetworkManager and selecting repair. Doing the repair eliminates the annoyance of reinstalling. I'm happy that you had the foresight to provide the capability to repair.

After discovering the repair fix, I thought I should let you know about this. I thought this might provide enough insight to you to make this easier to diagnose.
