Add debug output to console for L2 Cache scenarios

Currently exceptions from the backplane in an L2 cache scenario are being swallowed by Fusion cache. This plus a lack of logging of output can make debugging the L2 cache difficult. Add in some clear statements to the console that indicate that the L2 cache is working, and bubble up exceptions that come in from the backplane.
